Keep these in mind to make your first date really awesome…

A great first date doesn’t just happen.

You have to make it happen or else things won’t be getting anywhere.

And unlike what a lot of men think, pulling this off isn’t something that is complicated. You can make a first date really awesome by keeping the following essentials in your checklist:

First Date Essential #1: Do your research.

Making a first date great needs a bit of planning. And you won’t be able to achieve this if you don’t know what you have to plan about.

Keep in mind to know important details like the places she’s partial with when it comes to dates, the food and drinks she likes as well as the activities she is interested with.

Sure it may sound like a lot of work, but you are definitely going to reap the rewards on the big day.

First Date Essential #2: Your grooming counts a lot.

How you look and smell can easily make or break your chances at a first date.

Women notice these factors first and unless you’ve taken of them properly, chances are you are going to see your date ending up opposite than what you’ve expected.

Besides making sure that you’ve got a nice outfit picked, keep in mind to take a long and careful shower, splash on some deodorant, clean your nails and get rid of unwanted facial hair.

Just remember not to overdo it on the accessories like jewelry to avoid looking tacky.

First Date Essential #3:  Go for trivial subjects when breaking the ice.

Unlike what a lot of men mistakenly believe, engaging a woman in a meaningful conversation during a first date isn’t really that tough at all.

No matter what you do, never talk about serious stuff like politics, religion and other things that are not that easy to relate with.

Keep it light and trivial and you’ll be surprised how much she will be more inclined to talk to you. And that means more brownie points for you.

First Date Essential #4:  Keep it friendly.

For women, first dates are friendly events that give them the opportunity to know a guy better.

And you’re simply going to botch the whole thing up if you rush it to become a romantic affair.

Remember to keep it friendly at all times and play your cards right.

If you do it properly, you may just score yourself a second date…and a lot of opportunities.

Here’s a first date checklist you should give a once over…

I’m sure you’d like to impress the woman you’re out with on a first date. However, pulling off just that can be very tricky, no matter what a lot of self-proclaimed “dating gurus” say.

During my extensive research into the female psychology though, I managed to make a list of useful things to keep in mind that may help you boost your chances of dazzling a woman on your first date.

Your hygiene is key.

First things first.

How you look and smell is a very important factor when it comes to impressing the woman you are out with. Not paying close attention to your hygiene gives her the notion that you’re irresponsible, which can lead to feelings of doubt if she should be dating you.

Just remember to take a meticulous shower, use deodorant, brush your teeth carefully, get rid of excessive facial hair as well as keep your fingernails short and clean. A spritz or two of a nice smelling yet gentle cologne or perfume also helps a lot.

Keep the discussion light and trivial.

A lot of guys mistakenly think that talking about intellectual stuff during a first date is a surefire technique to impress a woman. It will only give your date the notion that you are pretentious.

The best way to break the ice with the woman you are out with? Ask your date what her favorite book or movie is and she will start to open up. Steer clear from sensitive topics like politics and religion while you’re at it as well.

(You have to listen to her intently while you’re at it, too.)

Pick the right outfit.

I’m sure you’ve heard about the “peacocking” technique popularized by a “dating guru” that involves wearing outrageous and loud clothing to attract a woman’s attention. Well, that’s pretty ridiculous and you’ll only end up embarrassing your date.

Instead, choose an outfit that is carefully planned, but not over the top. Have it properly ironed as well to give yourself a snappy appearance. Now while it’s alright to put on jewelry and accessories, make it minimalist like a watch and cuff link combo to avoid looking that you’re simply trying too hard.

Don’t be late.

Being tardy even for a few minutes during a first date can make a woman feel that you’re not just into her or you think of her as someone dull and boring. Make sure you arrive earlier at the venue to keep things in check instead.
